Today I am reviewing/discussing a new app, Turtle Invader; it is available through the app store and Google Play. This app is designed for kids, and thankfully doesn’t have any ads or in app purchases.

The game was designed to help kids and especially children with special needs improve their motor skills as well as visual attention, timing, coordination and control. They have even included additional features to help children with special needs.  The options are to slow the animals as well as increasing how many lives you have.

After trying it out on my iPhone it appears to be made for landscape, but it is set in portrait. This cuts off a portion of the title, menus and makes the play area smaller.  The smaller area does make the game a bit more challenging as you have less time that the turtles are on the screen.  It makes it more of a guessing game.

The app is set in a cute child friendly underwater environment. The characters are quite adorable as well. I loved the waving octopus. The music/sound is also fun, and ties everything together.
